Landis+Gyr and Grid Net sign smart meter deal

Swiss smart meter firm Landis+Gyr has signed a deal to resell software developed by Grid Net in Australia and New Zealand. The San Francisco-based firm’s smart grid network software will be embedded into Landis’ smart meter devices for utility customers in the two countries. In March, Grid Net raised an undisclosed amount of equity funding, reportedly in the region of USD10m, from Cisco Systems.
