Oxsensis raises USD4.5m for harsh environment sensors

UK-based Oxsensis has raised GBP3m (USD4.5m) in a funding round from Carbon Trust Investments and existing investors including Albion Ventures, Frog Capital, the Rainbow Seed Fund and Seven Spires. The firm develops temperature and pressure sensors which are able to operate in harsh environments such as extreme temperatures. The technology has applications in industries such as power generation, emissions monitoring, transport and safety systems.
