RWE invests USD150m to cut power plant emissions

RWE npower plans to invest GBP100m (USD150m) to increase efficiency and reduce carbon dioxide emissions at a 680MW natural gas-fired power plant in Cambridgeshire, England. The investment will involve upgrading equipment such as its two gas turbines and is expected to increase capacity by around 20MW and reduce annual carbon dioxide emissions by around 40,000 tonnes. General Electric will upgrade the gas turbines at the Little Barford plant.
