Ethanol firm All Fuels and Energy is collaborating with two unnamed infrastructure firms to lay a multipurpose pipeline in the US capable of transporting ethanol, biodiesel and liquid nitrogen. The pipeline would be the first in the US capable of carrying ethanol, which would corrode existing infrastructure pipes. All Fuels says the pipeline would dramatically reduce the cost of transporting ethanol. Trinity Ventures is helping the firms secure capital for the first phase of the project.

Deal Details

Based in Johnston, Iowa, All Fuels and Energy aims to reach a production capacity of 500m gallons of ethanol per year by acquiring ethanol plants and building new facilities. Last March, the firm bought 150 acres of land in Manchester, Iowa, where it intends to construct a 100m gallons-per-year ethanol plant.
