GreenPeak raises USD19m for battery-free communications

Dutch startup GreenPeak Technologies has raised EUR13m (USD19.1m) in a Series B funding round led by Gimv and Robert Bosch Venture Capital. DFJ Esprit, Motorola Ventures and Allegro Investment Fund also participated in the round. The firm develops ultra low-power wireless communication technology for sense and control applications.

Deal Details

The technology uses energy harvesting to provide battery-free operation. GreenPeak currently serves industries including building automation, health care and safety and security, and plans to expand into the consumer electronics market.
