Indowind buys eight Indian wind farms

India’s Indowind Energy has secured two loans to finance the acquisition of eight wind farms located in the southern states of Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. The loans, each worth INR500m (USD11m), are being provided by the Bank of India and UCO Bank. The wind farms have a combined capacity of 71.9MW and boost the firm’s installed wind energy capacity to around 139MW.
