AREVA and TEP developing 5MW Arizona solar thermal plant

Tucson Electric Power (TEP) is teaming up with French energy firm AREVA to develop a solar thermal power project in Arizona. The project is to be built adjacent to TEP’s Sundt coal-fired power plant and will have a 5MW capacity. Construction will begin this spring, and is scheduled for completion in 2013. Financial details of the project were not disclosed.
