Samsung investing USD159m in Scottish offshore wind factory

Samsung plans to invest up to GBP100m (USD158.5m) produce offshore wind turbines near Fife, Scotland. The South Korean firm is developing its offshore wind technology at a centre in Methil, and has signed an undisclosed “multi-million dollar” deal with David Brown Gear Systems to supply gearboxes for the turbines.
