SolarBridge and Solartec to sell AC solar modules in Mexico

SolarBridge Technologies is teaming up with solar panel maker Solartec Energia Renovable to introduce AC modules to the Mexican market. Solartec will manufacture photovoltaic modules, which will then incorporate SolarBridge’s microinverters. The firm expects to begin shipping the modules later this quarter. SolarBridge claims the AC modules using its technology will cut installation time for rooftop solar systems by 20% and boost the amount of energy harvested by 25%, when compared to central inverter-based systems.
