Better Place has delivered the first 100 electric vehicles (EV) to customers in Israel as part of its charging infrastructure project in the country. The firm is rolling out around 200 battery swapping and charging stations in Israel, with customers charged monthly for the vehicle and access to the network. The first customers to take delivery of the Renault Fluence cars are businesses, of which Better Place claims to have signed up 250 with a combined fleet of 80,000 vehicles. The firm will reportedly begin supplying the general public during Q2 of this year.
