Fiberlight gets USD25m loan for Iowa cellulosic ethanol

Fiberight has secured a USD25m loan guarantee from the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) to support an upgrade to an existing biorefinery in Iowa that will make it able to produce cellulosic ethanol. The USD59.5m project, located in Blairstown, will produce around 3.6m gallons per year of ethanol from municipal solid waste (MSW) and other industrial pulps.
