German financial services firm Allianz is paying an undisclosed sum to acquire two French wind farms from Spanish manufacturer and developer Gamesa. The projects are located in the Poitou-Charentes and Lorena regions and have a combined generating capacity of 16MW. Gamesa has an installed wind energy capacity of 114MW in France, with a further 800MW at various phases of development. Worldwide, the firm has an installed capacity of 4.3GW. At the end of last year, Allianz snapped up a wind farm in France from Nordex.
