SSE and Alstom plan 200MW Scottish wave power project

The renewables arm of Scottish and Southern Energy (SSE Renewables) is partnering with French engineering firm Alstom to develop a 200MW wave power project off the coast of Orkney, Scotland. The pair will work together to obtain permits to develop the Costa Head site, which is located in water depths of 60-75 metres around 5km north of the Orkney’s main island.
