Plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) developer Fisker Automotive has upped the total amount raised in its Series D funding round to USD243.5m, according to a regulatory filing. The Californian firm hopes to secure a further USD56.5m to bring the total raised in the round to USD300m, double the amount it was targeting initially. The funding comprises a mixture of equity and options and comes from undisclosed investors.
