BP is teaming up with Californian energy firm Sempra Energy to develop wind farms in Pennsylvania and Kansas. The two projects will cost a total of USD1bn and will have a combined generating capacity of 560MW. The firms aim to complete both projects before the end of the year, when the production tax credit (PTC) for wind energy is set to expire.
