Smart grid firm EnVerv raises USD12m

EnVerv has raised USD12m in a Series B funding round led by Benchmark Capital. Return backers NEA and Walden International also invested in the round. The Californian firm develops two-way power line communications systems with applications in advanced meter reading, solar inverters, lighting, industrial control and remote monitoring.
