Siemens plans USD324m UK offshore wind turbine factory

Siemens and Associated British Ports (ABP) are submitting plans to build a GBP210m (USD324m) manufacturing plant for offshore wind turbines in Northern England. If approved, the development is expected to create 700 jobs, with construction slated to begin next summer and complete in 2014.
