Wave energy firm BioPower lands USD5m

BioPower Systems (BPS) has bagged USD5m funding from the government in Victoria, Australia, as part of its policy to boost renewable energy in the region. The firm is planning to spend the financing on its USD14m bioWAVE wave energy project near Port Fairy in Victoria. The firm is looking to reel in a further USD3.6m to complete the funding round.
