Bright LED raises USD536,000

Energy-efficient lighting Bright LED has raised ILS2m (USD536,000) in equity funding from Israel Electric Corporation, according to Globes. Founded in 2009, the firm is developing LED fixtures for use in street lighting. The systems use LEDs produced by Philips Lumileds Lighting, and are currently being trialled in Israel. Bright LED plans to extend the trial to cities in Europe and the US. The firm has previously raised ILS4m (USD1m) in investment.
