California-based Fisker Automotive has signed a deal to use engines and other components manufactured by BMW in its next generation of plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEV), dubbed Project Nina. The German car maker will supply up to 100,000 units per year of its four-cylinder turbocharged engine at peak volume.
