LG buys water treatment firm Daewoo ENTEC

LG Electronics is paying an undisclosed sum to acquire water treatment firm Daewoo ENTEC. The firm is reportedly South Korea’s third biggest water treatment firm and will enable to offer a full package for the industry. This includes technology and equipment, engineering, procurement and construction (EPC), as well as operations and maintenance (O&M). LG aims to generate around KRW7 trillion (USD6.6bn) in sales from its water treatment business over the next 10 years and is considering further acquisitions to achieve this.
