Gamesa is launching a EUR50m (USD70.6m) venture capital fund to invest in the development of new renewable energy technologies. The fund is part of the Spanish wind turbine maker’s diversification strategy to ensure its medium and long-term growth. Over the next five years, the firm will use the fund to acquire minority stakes in startups and in the long-term says it will consider taking over the companies.
