Google and Japanese firms invest USD500m in US wind farm

Google and subsidiaries of Japan’s ITOCHU and Sumitomo are investing USD500m in a wind farm in Oregon. The Shepherds Flat project, located near Arlington, will have an 845MW capacity and is expected to cost USD2bn. Google is contributing USD100m of the investment.
