Japanese trading company Marubeni is teaming up with food and agriculture firm Cargill to develop greenhouse gas emission reduction projects. The pair plan to generate carbon credits under the Kyoto Protocol’s clean development mechanism by developing biomass and renewable energy projects, as well as projects which reduce deforestation and forest degradation.
