Xcel to invest USD1.3bn to cut coal emissions in Colorado

Xcel Energy plans to invest USD1.3bn to cut emissions from its coal-fired power plants in Colorado to meet the requirements of a recently enacted clean air law in the state. If approved by the Colorado Public Utilities Commission, the firm will make the investment over the next 12 years.
