Canada’s SunOpta BioProcess (SPB) has received a CAD6.5m (USD6.1m) contract to supply equipment for use in cellulosic ethanol production. SBP says the unnamed buyer is one of the largest operators in the corn biochemical processing and new energy sectors in China. The firm will supply fibre preparation and pretreatment equipment for installation in a demonstration plant which is scheduled for completion by the end of the year.
