Petrobras and Sapporo Breweries in hydrogen venture

Brazilian oil company Petrobras is partnering with Japanese beer producer Sapporo Breweries to test a hydrogen production process. The pair plant to build a pilot plant to convert biomass such as sugarcane residues into hydrogen. The plant will be located close to Sao Paulo and is scheduled for completion in October.
