The Australian budget, to be released next week, will reportedly contain Government support of approximately AUD275m (USD261m) for clean coal projects. The funding will target the development of carbon capture technology using ammonia, emission mapping and carbon storage. The first budget of the Labour Government under Kevin Rudd is also said to include a development fund to facilitate industry investment in the area.
